The Amphitrite is a large sailboat designed by the maritime architect bureau Holman & Pye in the mid seventies. A few hundred boats have been produced. The Amphitrite is built by the French yard Henri Wauquiez.

The boat is equipped with 10 berths.


The boat can only enter major marinas as the draft is about 1.80 - 1.90 meter (5.91 - 6.21 ft) dependent on the load. See immersion rate below.


Amphitrite is typically equipped with an inboard diesel engine at 45.0 kW (60 hp).

The transmission is a shaft drive. A shaft drive will in the long run require less maintenance than other types of drive e.g. a sail drive.
