Hull

The hull is made of fibreglass. A hull made of fibreglass requires only a minimum of maintenance during the sailing season.

Interior

The boat is equipped with 3/4 cabins, 6/12 berths and 601 liters (158 US gallons, 132 imperial gallons) fresh water capacity.

Rig

The Nautitech 46 Open is built with a fractional rig. The sail area for the mailsail + jib is 112.0 m2 (1,205.6 ft2). A fractional rig has smaller headsails which make tacking easier, which is an advantage for cruisers and racers, of course. The downside is that having the wind from behind often requires a gennaker or a spinnaker for optimal speed.

Keel

Unknown keel type

The boat can enter even shallow marinas as the draft is just about 1.45 - 1.55 meter (4.76 - 5.06 ft) dependent on the load.

Engine

The fuel tank has a capacity of 601 liters (158 US gallons, 132 imperial gallons).

Nautitech 46 Open may be equipped with dual inboard Volvo Penta engines at 40 hp (29 kW).

The transmission is a saildrive.
