Hull

The hull is made of fibreglass. A hull made of fibreglass requires only a minimum of maintenance during the sailing season.

The hull shape is deep V. Generally, a deep V hull gives a more comfortable cruise because it helps the boat cut through waves while minimizing impacts, help the boat bank into turns, and throw less spray. However, a deep V hull reduces stability and requires more power.

Interior

The boat is equipped with 4 berths and 200 liters (52 US gallons, 43 imperial gallons) fresh water capacity.

Engine

The fuel tank has a capacity of 600 liters (158 US gallons, 131 imperial gallons).

The boat may be equipped with dual inboard Volvo Penta D4-225 diesel engines at 550 hp (409 kW).

The immersion rate is defined as the weight required to sink the boat a certain level. The immersion rate for Rodman 940 is about 206 kg/cm, alternatively 1158 lbs/inch.

Maintenance

Bottom Paint

When buying anti-fouling bottom paint, it's nice to know how much to buy. The surface of the wet bottom is about 28m2 (301 ft2).
Based on this, your favourite maritime shop can tell you the quantity you need.

Note: If you use a paint roller you will need more paint than if you use a paintbrush.
